The Vancouver Heritage Foundation was founded in 1992 as a charitable organization which promotes the appreciation and conservation of Vancouver historic places
Touring through six unique homes, learn about their past and present, about their early architects, builders and residents, and about how they have been restored and adapted for modern living. Enjoy original interior features, craftsmanship, and unique designs. Explore the history and heritage significance of each building and learn about how they have been restored and adapted for modern living.
The organization conducts tours of the city’s historic places creating opportunities to learn about Vancouver’s history every year. The tours feature a diverse selection of homes which are located in Vancouver neighbourhoods such as Shaughnessy and Strathcona. Learn about some of Vancouver’s history by learning about the history of some of these homes.
The tours of these private Vancouver residences are self guided and are open for a single day between the specified hours of 10 am and 5 pm. You must purchase tickets.
When you purchase your tickets you will receive a brochure with a list of addresses and directions to the homes on the tour. There are rules to follow while on the tour, such as no shoes permitted in the house, it is recommended you bring a bag to carry your shoes in, no food or drink is permitted in the homes and no photos are permitted, as these are private residences.
